Housekeeper
Job Description
Reports to: Housekeeping Coordinator
Employment Dates: Varying Employment Dates: March – November 2026
Employment Status: Seasonal Part-Time
  • Average 24 – 40 hours per week, rotating shifts
  • Any day of the week including Saturday, Sunday & holidays
Wage: $17.60-18.60/hour *based on qualifications and experience. Adjustments may be made depending on job performance and attendance.
 
Job Summary
Housekeepers will have a heart for Christian ministry.  They will assist the Housekeeping Coordinator in performing all housekeeping duties as well as providing leadership and supervision to the Housekeeping Team.  In addition to all supervisory duties the Housekeeper will ensure that all accommodations and indoor facilities remain clean and ready for use.  They will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, cleaning washrooms, cleaning Porta-Potties and showers, and doing laundry on a daily basis.  They should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.
 
Housekeeper Responsibilities
  • Ensure all indoor & outdoor public facilities are clean and acceptable for public use
  • Ensure all accommodations are clean and ready for the arrival of guests
  • Clean (vacuum, sweep and mop floors), prepare, and inspect all accommodations and indoor & outdoor facilities
  • Clean and stock restrooms & porta-potties
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Assist guests when necessary
  • Keep linen room stocked
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture
  • Ensure all appropriate workplace regulations and legislation regarding health and safety, accommodation standards, and company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Notify Housekeeping Coordinator of necessary repairs
  • Ensure that safe work practices are being followed
  • Ensure that all employees comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Participate in site and workplace inspections
  • Provide supervision to housekeeping team in the absence of the Housekeeping Coordinator
  • Any other duties as assigned and requested by Housekeeping Coordinator, Executive Director or Administrative Services Manager

Job Requirements

  • Experience in the housekeeping industry preferred

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions including hot rooms in the middle of summer

Maintenance Assistant
Job Description
Reports to: Lead Maintenance and Director of Operations
Employment Dates: Varying Employment Dates: April – November 2026
Employment Status: Any day of the week including Saturdays, Sundays & holidays. (Varying hours 20-40 hrs/week)
Wage: $18.60-$21.60/hour
*based on qualifications and experience. Adjustments may be made depending on job performance and attendance.
 
Job Summary
The Maintenance Assistant will have a heart for Christian ministry.  They are responsible for general maintenance work and grounds maintenance on the Wesley Acres property under the direction of the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Director of Operations.  Primary duties will include general maintenance work such as vehicle upkeep, operating various equipment required for task at hand, painting, minor repairs, mowing grass and weed eating. 
To be successful in the role, you will need to take instruction well and work independently after receiving instruction.
 
Responsibilities
  • Vehicle, and small equipment upkeep & maintenance  
  • Operation of equipment
  • Weed-eating
  • Lawn mowing
  • Other maintenance duties as required

Job Summary
The Smitty’s Team - Tuck Shop Attendant will have a heart for Christian ministry.  They will perform a number of frontline food services duties ensuring a positive and healthy food services experience for all Wesley Acres Guests.


Smitty’s Team - Tuck Shop Attendant Responsibilities
  • Tend to the tuck shop (including scooping ice cream, selling tuck shop items, cleaning the tuck shop, etc.)
  • When slow in Tuck, help out in Smitty’s
  • Wash dishes, sweep, wipe tables, mop floors, etc. – and end of day cleanup
  • Clean kitchen and café
  • Change garbage’s in tuck shop and covered patio
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Lock doors and windows at closing time
  • Any other duties as assigned and requested by Food Services Manager, Executive Director or Administrative Services Manager

Tuck Shop Attendant Requirements:
  • Food Safe Handler’s Certificate an asset
